It is part of the assignment to host the application over a period of time.

Langtved Data has developed and delivered a solution for Web based reporting of allergy examinations for practitioning allergy physicians. An SSL secure version of LDB Desktop has been used.
An important advantage of this application is that costly setup of Virtual Private Networks for each user location are avoided thereby saving both investments and running costs.
This way we have enhanced our long term relationship with the National Allergy Research Centre.
The database is named miniAllergen.

Odense University Hospital
- ›
In May-June 2009 Langtved Data made an agreement with The Hearing Clinic, Odense University Hospital about development of a Hearing Screening Database.
The objective was to analyze the diagnostic process for the children that end up with an ordinary hearing aid or a Cochlear Implant (an advanced hearing aid for severely affected hearing impaired and deaf).
The precise goal was to evaluate whether an optimization of the process was needed.
The investigation was a follow-up to the country-wide hearing screening started earlier.
The database was implemented in August, training of users was in October, and the database is now running. The database is used
by the Hearing Clinic in Odense and the birthplaces department D in Svendborg and departments D and H in Odense, where the Hearing Screening is performed.
It is expected that the database will be used in other birthplaces and hearing clinics. A further advantage would be to get a uniform way of monitoring the clinical process.
We have had no problems during the development and implementation and we have only received positive feedback from the key users, doctors Rikke Schnack-Petersen and Henrik Bo Poulsen.

Region North
- ›
On the 11. May 2009 Region North in Denmark signed an agreement with Langtved Data A/S about purchase of a Genetic Counseling System for a new department to be managed by Chief Resident Consultant Kirsten Rasmussen.
The system is designed to be identical with the Genetic Counseling System for the similar Århus Department with exception of logos and stationery.
This means that the system is also enabled for lookup of patients and relatives in the Danish CPR-register and that automatic reporting of Diagnose Related data to the Danish Health Agency, Sundhedsstyrelsen.
Furthermore, the department has ordered a database for test- and training.
So far we have sent a test database that for the time being is installed on a laptop and we are preparing the the installation.
We thank Region North for the trust they have shown in us.
Furthermore we note that the strategy with common development of new features in Genetic Counseling has been fruitful meaning that a high degree of reuse has been possible. This makes the products less expensive and ensures better communication between departments.

The HDL Lab-system.
- ›
We been praised yet another year by our long term partner HDL at Århus University Hospital in the Annual Report.
Quote:
"Late in 2007 HDL started using the new lab system ”HDL database” and 2008 was the year that would show whether the system was reliable.
In the light of the many IT-scandals in Denmark we feel privileged since there has been no downtime on the system.
The reason for this is no doubt the LDB Desktop framework from our supplier Langtved Data. But also the fact that specifications are
made by the end user and followed by development and test have contributed to the system's success.
Our thorough knowlegde of the software has meant that we cannot help asking for new improvements and further development.
This is to a large extent done by close cooperation with Langtved Data that also has interest in improvements and further development.
The design of the system makes it easy to add new modules and in 2008 we received funds from the Regional Equipment Fund for a new
Molecular Biology module and a Chimera module.
The many new versions have necessitated the establishment of of a test system so that all new versions are real-life tested before they are put into production.
With the new ”Cancer Initiative” we have been faced with a requirement for shorter response times which have not been possible with the
Danish Postal Service, however with assistance from the Regional IT department we established external access to the system from
The Hematological Department at Aalborg Hospital and the Childrens department at Skejby Hospital. This is no doubt a functionality
that we will further develop with our other work partners."
end quote.
Many thanks for the kind words.
We add that the HDL system shortly will be installed in an English version in Greifswald, Germany.
